We already know how this goes. Almost two years ago now we saw a Ferrari 458 and a Tesla Model S P85D go at it. The Tesla opens up a lead only for the Ferrari to go flying by at higher speeds. This is the new Model X P90D SUV model though which is more powerful but also heavier than the Model S.

It goes as expected with the Model X getting the lead and then the Ferrari 458 running it down. It is just that the Ferrari is not able to do it in a 1/4 mile. It loses the race.

The 458 runs 11.463 @ 120.91 to the Model X P90D 11.580 @ 115.70. Keep in mind density altitude doesn't matter for the Tesla and based on the Ferrari's time it sure seemed to be a bit warm out in Florida.

Either way, yes, the Model X P90D sure is a stoplight terror.
