Mercedes plans to bring a diesel C-class (C250 bluetec) to market in the US
Many sites and magazines are reporting that Mercedes intends to bring a diesel C-class to market in the next 3 years. Now, that is a pretty wide window and we expect it to happen sooner than that. Currently, the M, GL, R, E, and S are available with diesels. The GLK is expected to join them by the end of the year. The C-class should be getting a 2.1 liter 4 cylinder diesel producing 204 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. If it does not happen for the 2012 model year then expect it in the next generation C-class but either way, the C will be getting a diesel option.
