Amazing to see just how badly a car is destroyed doing only 60mph.

RIGHT??!! the under car shot was pretty cool to see the bellhousing, exhaust etc getting destroyed...and the rear clip too...that thing bent like rubber from just a 60mph impact. But again, this was head on impact and that wall he hit didn't budge LOL...all that energy has to go somewhere...

im surprised they didnt strap the dummy down..it went flying.
The crazy part is that the center of the car is prolly ok. At my former shop we actually had a GT3 RSR race car (2004) that was owned by TRG and crashed really badly at Watkins Glen....the center tub was ok, and they just slapped new frame rails on the front and back, redid the roll cage in those areas. The 'tub' as Porsche calls it, was actually perfectly straight...it moved something like barely 1mm...after going into a barrier at 60mph and then getting rearended by another car that slid off in the rain.

this is a car with a roll cage....I can't imagine those cheaply made cars doing this same test...
