Honestly guy's, after lots of thought, I should probably just keep this car. I have 2 years of college left. This car is relatively new, and I don't owe anything on it. I think at this point in my life building a car should be at the bottom of my priorities. I honestly can't believe I'm even typing these words, but I guess with age comes maturity. I'll do a few things here and there to the 335i and keep it for what it is good for, going form A to B and being a quick-ish bolt-on car.

I guess it is time to let this thread die. This thread served it's purpose, a place for me to think out loud, and get all of your opinions. Thank you guys for your opinions. Looks like I'll be hanging around here for a few more years.

If that was the case, I would have said to keep the car itself. It's a 335! I wish I had one! lol

I almost purchased a 04 Mystichrome Cobra 2 years ago, I looked at the interior and it was exactly the same as my old ass 97 Thunderbird except for the seats. I got the blue car in my sig instead and I think I made the wrong decision.

I think if you do the research on these cars by and large the typical driver does not beat these cars, even when highly modded. These are guys who hard for one or two gears and let up, much more mature drivers by far and with the time/money to maintain the cars. The higher mile cars are usually from warmer climates and more DD types. I did a bunch of serious research into these nearly buying an 03 with and East Coast Supercharging blower-heads-cam-intake setup. That car made 635 to the wheels was priced at $23K and had only 32k on her from new. These cars exist for sure. Sounds like the OP may be keeping his car so best of luck in any case.

I agree with your decision, your car is paid off, go fbo and a good tune and the car will be plenty quick.

I thought about jumping at the 1m but my car is paid off in 3 months, it will be nice to have no car payments.
