Audi's acquisition of Ducati as good as done? AMG never in the running?
It looks like Audi will be announcing its acquisition of Ducati shortly. AMG was reported to be in the mix but either their interest was overblown or they never had any intention of purchasing Ducati. Regardless, Reuters reports the acquisition may be announced next week as inside sources have revealed that the deal was indeed completed. No information on the purchased price released yet. This means that now Audi will have motorcycle division to compete with BMW Motorrad heating up the competition considerably.

VW will own it not Audi, they will manage if this comes to pass. BMW bikes are in-house. The Ducati's are real nice though. Have been considering a Monster for a while now.
