1/4 mile drag race stock 6-speed manual Porsche 997 Turbo versus Audi R8 5.2 V10 with APR tune and exhaust
This is a great 1/4 mile comparison to see as it is real world with real owners. The Porsche 911 Turbo is a 997.1 model 6-speed manual that is completely stock. The Audi R8 V10 has an APR tune and Milltek exhaust. The R8 has the R-Tronic sequential manual transmission. The turbo runs an 11.88@119 with a 1.64 60 foot. Clearly the Porsche owner knows how to drive. The R-Tronic R8 surprisingly only manages a 11.97@119 with a 1.9X 60 foot. With a better launch the R8 should win but rather surprising a tuned R8 V10 was this close to a stock 997.1 turbo.
For those wondering why the trap speeds are not higher or the ET's for that matter, this runs were done in 95 degree weather at about 3000 foot density altitude.

I do plan on modding it down the road, just some basics (tune/exhaust). Trust me, I am no drag racer. I had the car for about 2 weeks when we filmed that video (previously had a supercharged E46 M3, a whippled Terminator Cobra, an ACR Viper, and a E63 M6 Coupe). Me and my buddy with the R8 went to the track with some seriously fast cars (lots of GTRs, ZR1s, boosted Vipers, etc), but the conditions were less than ideal for any car, especially cars with FI because it was extremely hot/humid and the DA was pretty bad. We are all going to go back in the winter and I am going to see if I can get that time down a few tenths still completely stock. I have been searching for the bone stock 997.1TT manual 1/4 record, but no one seems to have any definitive data.
I can also make a thread about my car, but who cares to see a bone stock 911, haha.997TT

You will be blown away after these mods.

That's a strong 997TT. There's a member on 6speedonline that has done an 11.5@121 in a stock one. I am certain with the right conditions he could get it there.
