Carrabelle Florida 1/2 Mile Roll Event

This past weekend I drove out to Carrabelle, FL for the WannaGoFast 1/2 Mile Roll event. I had an absolute blast out there! There were some insanely fast cars, but I think I represented the N54 Community honorably. My best trap of the day was 141.03 MPH and was averaging 139-140. The car was running fantastic.....up until I decided to do a race from a dig. After the first launch from a dig the stock clutch with 73,000 miles on it decided it had enough and the event ended early for me The good news is, once I upgrade the clutch, then I need to look for more power to take full advantage of it Here is the video I made from the event and some logs of the first couple of runs before my laptop died. Btw that was a clk63 amg not E. and why was it that slow? I'm sure your car is faster but it should be that slow even with its extra weight...

Thanks! It really was a blast. My bad on the description of the Mercedes. I was in a rush when I put it together. He was having serious traction issues and his traction control kept intervening. He didn't want to disable it because on the run he did without it he just spun and had a slower time. He also did not have an LSD.

Thanks! It was a good time. I have some fueling issues to work on still, but all in all the car ran pretty strong.

The event was full when I registered too. I was number 30 on the wait list and the week before the event I got a call saying there was an opening. I'm glad it worked out. Next time though I will be more selective with who I run against. Losing most races gets old (although I'm not really ashamed of losing to Z06 or ZR1 Vettes), especially when there was a bunch of cars I was out trapping.

I got some more info from Norm, the owner of the C5 Z06 in my video. Norm wrote "Justin even though it didn't really show the car has just a little less than 900 hp at the wheels. It has an all forged 427 with a YSI race supercharger. The Supercharger belt came apart a little bit but the worse part was one of the EGR ports busted on my header so I was done. I did let off quite early and actually hit my brakes well before the finish."
