Watch a stock 2010 C6 Z06 destroy the new F12 M6 from a roll - The new M5/M6 is not faster than a C6 Z06 get it through your heads M5 owners
The M6 in this video is an F12 which means it is a convertible. It also means it is a bit heavier than the coupe with a curb weight of 4312 pounds versus 4088 for the coupe. Realistically though, even if the M6 in the video was the lighter coupe it would still get beaten by this Z06 just not as badly. The Z06 in the video simply pulls away rather easily even when the M6 gets the jump and it makes one scratch their head as to why a video M5board was promoting showed a C6 Z06 with a tune struggling against a stock F10 M5 which features the exact same S63TU Twin Turbo V8 as this M6.
One explanation, and the most likely, is that the Z06 was sandbagged to make the M5 look faster as M5board panders to M5 owner's sensitives. This type of nonsense though leads to M5 owners thinking their cars are stronger than they really are feeding their egos. We have a video below with a stock Z06 crushing a stock M6 from a roll yet supposedly a tuned Z06 somehow struggles with a stock F10 M5? This is one of those times where a video and its description can be very misleading.
F10 M5 and F12/F13 M6 owners, do yourself a favor and watch this video. Because if you try to pick on a C6 Z06, tuned or stock, with your stock M5/M6 you are going to get your ego bruised and deservedly so. That will happen regardless if a site dedicated to M5's tries to portray the M5/M6 as faster than they really are.

NO surprises here... Very few cars on the road can touch a Z06. The vert is heavier but the coupe would get its ass handed just as bad. Gustav set that race up and everyone knows it.

Not surprised at all... The Z06 has the bomb ass LS7 under the hood & even though the S63 Tu is no slouch, the Z06's power/weight ratio is gonna smoke new, stock M5/M6s.
Def looking forward to a rematch with some tuned S63's (maybe a little E85 support too)

yep... i think a tuned m6 coupe or m5 would have a better chance but once the z06 gets an intake and tune, you can say goodbye again. 3300 lbs is nothing compared to these tanks...

What a joke! Always knew that M5board video was rigged as $#@!. There is just no way a heavy ass M5/M6 is gonna pull on a C6 Z06. The Z weighs almost 1000 pounds less, and that N/A engine is ridiculous.

What a joke, average guys hit 60-130 in 8.5 seconds in the z06, with some dipping into the 7s, these porker M5 & M6 cars can't even break into the 8s. Some math wiz on here can figure this out, but isn't a 1.5s gap at 130mph over 200ft?
I would love a Z06, but my money will probably go to a LS3 with a blower.

Trap speeds tell the tale, bone stock Z06s run 125-126mph all day long. Best trap I saw from an M6 was 121, average from magazines tends to be 119-120. I dunno how anyone could get it into their heads that they could take a C6 Z06.
Mods are another matter, as I expect bolt-on upgrades and a tune to push this motor pretty far (expecting 130mph traps)

Gustav is a little b*tch. It is pretty much known now he controls and cherry picks the races from events he wants to show.
