KING OF THE STREETS FINALS! R8GT UGR vs GT-R T1R - TI Fall 2015
This was THE RACE of the year! One of the most anticipated grudge matches between Lambo and GTR, the most power cars T1 Race Development and Underground Racing have built to date. Both capable of 2300HP at the wheels, Tony and Kevin run these turbo monsters through the gauntlet in the Texas Invitational King of the Streets elimination in Caddo Mills Texas. These two are without a doubt the FASTEST street cars in the country, both setting airfield records of 210 and 213MPH! Turn up the volume and watch em fly!

Surprised more people are not commenting on this.
Impressive display from the GTR but that R8 is making more power. It isn't shifting as fast but still pulls.
I mean they are both ridiculously fast.
The trap speed though with these events I have a problem with. As they are both rolling how do you control them both starting at the same speed? You can't.

But that is the problem with all roll on racing.
Unless you start from a dig, or use something like a speed limiter as in F1 pit lane limiter, you can never start with the exact same speed.
And then there is the perception of the driver when he exactly passes the cone which will slightly vary as well. There are two theories to arguing with women. Neither one works

Agreed! I mean, I'm an old drag racer at heart, but I srsly enjoy watching the vids from these 1/2 mi roll events, & some of the cars/engineering are ricockulously impressive...but at the end of the day, it's still a dick measuring contest because currently nobody is controlling (that I'm aware of) the starting speeds and/or precise starting point. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong as I've never actually attended one...just watched countless vids-lol.

You're correct.
In order to beat a trap speed my car set the 'competition' decided to back up and start full throttle from well before the cones.
People then look at the trap speed end result without taking this into account. Trap speeds for rolling events do not work. There is no standard starting speed. They work for standing stop competitions with a fixed distance but not in roll ons where they can vary way too much.
But what can you do? People are stupid.
