M156 vs. N54 - Eurocharged tuned W204 C63 AMG P31 vs. MHD Stage 2 E92 335xi

Naturally aspirated AMG V8 against the BMW's 3.0 liter twin turbo I6. Both motors benefit greatly from tuning as we all know. The W204 C63 AMG is heavier than the 335xi by roughly 500 pounds but 6.2 liters of displacement helps move it. It also has the P31 package which means stronger engine internals borrowed from the M159 and a more aggressive factory tune.

The 335xi is a manual example with an MHD Stage 2 flash. Nothing is stated about any other bolt on modifications.

They start with a dig race and how it should play out is the 335xi should get a lead with the M156 top end then coming into play. That is exactly how it goes.

That means in the next race when they go from a roll the C63 should have the advantage once traction is removed from the equation. That it does, it pulls a couple cars.

They do another dig race and the 335xi gets out in front only for the C63 to make up the ground and pass again up top.

Solid runs all around.

I know we are used to seeing high powered M156's and N54's but the reality is that race represents the vast majority of what you will actually see on the road.

i wish they would have stated what other mods the 335i had, I just sold me c63 and picked up another 335i...I feel like with some fueling my new 335is will walk a c63 without headers
