    Cammed/bolt on C6 Z06 LS7 versus stock Porsche 991 Turbo from a roll

    The stock Porsche 991 Turbo is no slouch with its 520 horsepower twin turbo 3.8 liter flat-6 and PDK transmission. On the 1/4 mile drag strip the car is capable of breaking into the 10's at around the 126 mile per hour mark. That is a level of performance about on par with a stock C6 Z06. The problem is that the C6 Z06 the 991 Turbo races in the video you are about to see is not stock with a big cam, exhaust, intake, and ECU modifications.

    The result is not pretty. There is a bit of miscommunication on the honks as the C6 gets on the gas and then gets off but once the Z06 gets going it just flat out leaves the 991 Turbo in its dust. This C6 Z06 sure looks pretty damn strong for just bolt ons if the mod list indeed is accurate.

    I mean, yeah. That will happen. Vette is probably making a hundred more hp, and weighs less, is more aerodynamic likely, and it's geared for this stuff.

    The new Z06 is going to be 200 pounds heavier it looks like though. But that isn't a huge difference and it will obviously have plenty of power.

    It will definitely benefit with the weight. That power is not going to be worth anything if it can't be put down properly.

    Don't be fooled by this video. I am willing to bet the Z06 was running Nitrous. The way the power came on is unrealistic without NOS.

    I'm leaning toward your line of thinking here as it was just incredibly intense the way it just pulled away.

    Agreed. That was not a normal 100whp walk. However, the only reason the Porshe runs what it does is because of the PDK.... putting it up against some real power in a 1 or 2 gear pull is pretty stacked against it.
